BLACK COMMUNITY POTLUCK PARTY x Afropolitan Berlin x Black Ballet Berlin

It’s rainy summer time, which means it’s usually time for the annual Black Community Potluck Pcinic for the fourth year in a row!

Unfortunately we had to postpone the event due to the weather conditions twice.

Black Dads Germany x AfroPolitan Berlin x Black Ballet Berlin will invite you once again to join us for a day full of good food, relaxing, mingling as well as exchanging ideas, networking and fun activities at an indoor gathering. We will provide non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, a few blankets and music. As a potluck community picnic, we ask everyone to bring along what they can contribute (food, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, more blankets). Sharing is caring!

Note: This is a community event which is exclusively directed at Members of the Black community*. Non-Black parents of Black kids are invited to join us. There will also be an awareness team, which will make sure we can picnic in peace.

****This picnic aims to create a safer space for ALL members of the Black community. We will not tolerate any kind of (hetero-) sexism, hostility against LGBTQIA+, ableism, ageism or body-shaming.****

*With the term „For Members of the Black Community” we would like to point out that these workshops and events are aimed exclusively at people who position themselves as Black (this also includes African, Afrodiasporic, Afro-German, Afropean and further self-designations). That means people who are part of the African diaspora, those who experience anti-Black-racism. In order to give racially discriminated Black people an opportunity to articulate their thoughts within a „safer space“, without experiencing exclusion and avoiding the paternalism of a majority of non-Black participants, we create certain spaces exclusively
